We are the only marine brakes company in Greece with its own production line and exclusive rights of the excellent and extremely reliable woven brake linings FERODO-MARINE & CONDOR BRAKES with “DNV –GL” quality certificates.
All our woven brake linings are asbestos free, enforced with copper or brass wire and available in rolls of 10 or 15 mtrs.
Their usual width ranges from 50-300 mm and their thickness from 4-25 mm, but there is also a possibility for special size orders according to customer’s demands.
Our linings are particularly suitable for medium to heavy duty marine applications, such as winch brakes, hoisting brakes, crane brakes, industrial applications, elevator brakes, etc.

Friction flat sheets are a special category of brakes that are suitable for heavy duty applications and it’s a rigid material with or without metallic filings, in order to withstand high temperatures and great pressure.

These materials have a long life span due to their hardness and are suitable for applications such as toothed disks, clutch facings for any size of engine pads, brake blocks, purifiers, shims, etc.

Also available are flat sheets of woven material for use in oil conditions, where a lower friction factor is necessary for the correct function of the brake.

All our friction flat sheets are asbestos free and can be offered in the following sizes: 500*500 mm.,762*762 mm., 853*853 mm., 1150*500 mm. And in thicknesses from 3mm. – 40 mm.

They are imported from well known manufacturers of friction materials such as FTL-UK, FEROTEK-UK,  FERODO-UK, UMS GMTH, TALFRI and all carry quality certificates.

Molded linings are a specific category of brakes that are usually black or gray color.

There are molded linings that are impregnated with various kinds of metallic filaments or metal free and all are suitable for applications where great flexibility and high coefficient of friction and temperature endurance are required.

These linings can be fitted to centrifugal brakes , clutches , brake bands for yachts , small vessels  & safety boats, conical brakes , purifiers etc.

All our molded linings are top quality asbestos free materials  with quality certificates and  range from 3-12.7 mm in thickness  to 30-220 mm  in width.

They can also be cut to size according to customer’s request.

CONDOR BRAKES has been a well known brand name in the marine sector for more than 20 years and is exclusively manufactured and distributed by MAR. IN. BRAKES (Aik. Kyriazakou Ltd.).

Condor Brakes is a semi – flexible asbestos – free brake lining, manufatured from solid woven fabric of both natural and man – made yam with a brass wire inclusion, which helps to stabilize the friction value by conducting heat from th operating surface. It’s a high quality non asbestos brake lining that can meet the demand of shipping companies for good performance, liability and endurance.

This material can be applied for use in oil immersed application, although the friction value will be much lower than shown on the friction/ temperature graph which is based on dry conditions.

Suitable for winches, cranes, earth moving and agricultural equipment, forging machinery and many others.
